Description
The English to Thai translation of Koh Tao is “Turtle Island”. It was originally named by local fisherman and settlers who described a turtle shape when looking at the island from their boats. The island does have a healthy population of sea turtles with both Hawksbill and Green turtles living in the waters off the island. They are a common sight for divers when they are out fun diving or taking a diving course.
Koh Tao is known for beeing one of the best places to learn to dive, and yet see beautiful coral reefs with plenty of fishes

Any time is good, however Spring to autum n has better weather.
Information about the site
Twins dive site is also called Twin Peaks. It is one of the best diving sites around Koh Tao. It consists of 2 large underwater Rocks starting at 7 meters with a sandy bottom at 20 meters deep. Thus, Twin peaks is suitable for all level of divers even beginners. The reef life is amazing with Blue Ringed Angel fishes, Clown fishes, Moray Eels, Stingrays and the Green Sea Turle. It is also not rare to see pelagic fishes such as Trevallies and Yellow tail Barracudas. Twins dive site is great for underwater photography and usually has good visibility. It is located near Koh Nangyuan.
